Will the anniversary be celebrated with a Roxette reunion?

After the loss of Marie Fredriksson in 2019, fans have longed for some kind of reunion with the remaining Roxette member Per Gessle. In a new interview with Aftonbladet, Gessle talks about the upcoming 40th anniversary of the band's first single "Neverending Love."

"It's a bit surreal to think that it's been 40 years," Gessle says. "It feels like both a lifetime ago and yesterday."

When asked if he would consider a Roxette reunion to mark the anniversary, Gessle is hesitant. "It's difficult to say," he says. "I don't want to rule anything out, but it would have to feel right. I don't want to do anything that would tarnish the legacy of Roxette."

Gessle also talks about his plans for the future. He says that he is working on a new solo album and that he is open to collaborating with other artists.

"I'm always looking for new challenges," he says. "I love making music, and I'm excited to see what the future holds."
